One cookie keeps you signed in. Two more, with your permission, tell us which pages and campaigns work. Advertising measurement from Google and Meta runs only with that same permission, and you can switch it off here at any time.

Analytics and advertising measurement
Currently on. The sign-in cookie is always on.
Turning measurement off keeps the sign-in cookie and removes the rest. We also honour the browser’s Global Privacy Control signal as a refusal of advertising measurement.
The cookies we set

All four are first-party: set by Wellington and read only by Wellington. wl_vid and wl_attr hold random identifiers and campaign labels, never an answer or a score. When you create an account, we link the visitor id to it so that your own journey reads end to end in our records; you can see and delete all of it from your dashboard.
Advertising measurement
With permission we load Google Analytics, the Google Ads conversion tag and the Meta pixel. Each may set its own cookies on this site (_ga, _gcl_au, _fbp and similar) under Google’s cookie policy and Meta’s cookie policy. We use them to know which advertisements bring people who go on to buy, and we send the same purchase events from our server with your email hashed so the count stays accurate when a browser blocks the pixel. We never send an answer, a score or a trait name to either platform.
With advertising measurement allowed, we also send TikTok completion, share-click and purchase events directly from our server. These include the event value, purchased product where applicable, TikTok ad click identifier when available, IP address and browser information. We do not install TikTok’s browser script or send TikTok your email, answers, scores, trait names or private report links. Essential-only consent and Global Privacy Control stop this reporting. Purchases use the permission recorded when checkout began.
Two things that are not cookies
Your browser also holds a few small pieces of local storage: a copy of the visitor id, campaign labels, and your unsaved Snapshot answers and optional profile answers. These drafts stay on your device until you sign in or request a verification link, which carries the draft so you can continue on another device. Local drafts are removed after they are saved to your account, or when you clear your browser’s site data.
Stripe, on its own page
When you pay for the Portrait Report or the Wellington Membership, checkout and the billing portal are hosted by Stripe on Stripe’s own domain. While you are there, Stripe may set its own cookies for fraud prevention and to process your payment, under Stripe’s cookie policy. Wellington does not set, read or receive those cookies.
Managing cookies
The switch at the top of this page controls everything that is not essential. You can also block or delete any cookie in your browser settings; deleting wl_session signs you out, and you can sign in again with a fresh magic link whenever you like.
